Week 2 of Mission CGPSC 2027 · Rights & Roots — Fundamental Rights and DPSP for India; prehistory and the early dynasties of Dakshin Kosala for Chhattisgarh. See the full plan.
Fundamental Rights
Consider the following statements:
- The Right to Property is at present a Fundamental Right under Part III of the Constitution.
- Article 21A, providing free and compulsory education to children aged 6 to 14 years, was inserted by the 86th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2002.
Which of the statements given above is/are correct?
The 44th Amendment Act, 1978 removed the Right to Property from Part III (Articles 19(1)(f) and 31); it is now a constitutional (legal) right under Article 300A, so statement 1 is wrong. Statement 2 is correct: Article 21A came with the 86th Amendment, 2002. The trap is to remember that property was once a Fundamental Right.
Regional Dynasties: Rajarshitulya, Nala, Sharabhpuriya, Pandu and Somvanshi
The Arang copper plate, dated in the Gupta era, was issued by which ruler of the Rajarshitulya kula?
The Arang copper plate was issued by Bhimasena II and traces his line back six generations to the founder Shura. Its date is read as Gupta era 182 (about 501 CE) or 282 (about 601 CE). The use of the Gupta era suggests the family acknowledged Gupta authority.
Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability
In a certain code, CAT is written as DBU. How is DOG written in that code?
Each letter is shifted one place forward: C→D, A→B, T→U. Applying the same rule, D→E, O→P, G→H, giving EPH. EPI wrongly shifts the last letter by two.
